Quarantine Crafts

Being stuck at home all day with nothing to do can get quite boring. We all need small breaks away from our electronics, so here are some crafts you can do with your family:

  • Tie-dye spin art: for this craft you will need a cotton shirt, plastic table cover, and tie-dye kit. The first thing you need to do is dampen the shirt with some water, then lay it out to get rid of any wrinkles in the shirt; proceed to twist the shirt in a spiral and tie with bands. The last step is to prepare the tie-dye and apply to the shirt; you should then wait at least 6-8 hours for the shirt to dry. When the shirt is completely dry, remove the bands and put the shirt under running water to get rid of any extra dye. After that, wash and dry the shirt.

  • Learn how to make bubble paintings: To make this craft you will need 2 tablespoons of tempera paint, 2 tablespoons of dish soap, 1 tablespoon of water, straws and paper. Once you collect the materials pour the ingredients into a small bowl. Insert the straw in the bowl and blow to create bubbled; place the paper on top of the bubbles and that's it!
